Hi. I’m N.C. Shore. I write YA fantasy about the moments when one person reaches across a distance to another, and what happens to the world when they do.

The books I love most are the ones that took the kid I was seriously. That treated my questions like real questions and my fears like real fears, and trusted me to walk through a hard thing if the story was honest. I try to write toward that kid.

I’m at work on the first book in a small but stubborn universe — a place built on the idea that magic isn’t gone from the world, only quiet, and that the way it comes back is through what we’re willing to carry to each other.
